InterEuropean Human Aid Association (IHA) is a grassroots organisation providing humanitarian aid and assistance to refugees, asylum seekers and people whose needs are not met elsewhere. We support thousands of individuals in Northern Greece with essential relief supplies, as well as providing a space for learning, integration and building community. IHA has operated in Northern Greece since 2016 and is currently running a warehouse in Diavata and a community centre in Lagadikia. During this time we have built a strong network with humanitarian grassroots organisations, as well as with local actors and initiatives supporting people on the move in Europe. We work closely with local actors to assist people on the move to access services, develop networks, skills and tools, and move towards self-reliance and independence in their new place of residence. Today, IHA operates primarily in supply management, logistics, informal education, community building, and inclusion support. We strongly focus on providing support around the principle of dignity first whilst remaining flexible to needs and independent. We aim to work collaboratively as a team while making sure to maintain sustainable operations for the organisation and our target group.
